Considering our new inclusion of video to the services ABI offers, we created a webpage dedicated to showing clients our capacity for video work, while simultaneously providing a quick overview of potential options for producing videos for marketing purposes. Planning and coordinating a video resembles still photography in many ways with only a few additional tasks before shoot day. One of those tasks centers around asking yourself what kind of video you want. No matter what video style you choose, AJ Brown Imaging would be capable and excited to partner with you in this endeavor.
Project Highlight Style Video
A project highlight video is a simple and beautiful way to highlight a project without dialogue, focusing mainly on the architecture and visuals. Shooting video in conjunction with still photography ensures an efficient and cost-effective option while maintaining premium production quality. Additionally, this video has a custom music score created specifically to fit the narrative of the project.
Case Study Style Video
This case study style video was produced by interviewing several members of the specific team and weaving the story together in the post-production process. The shoot production time for this video consisted of two full shoot days and approximately sixty post-production hours, and also utilizes custom music made by local artists.
Short Film Style Video
In this short film style video, two architects narrate the design and build process, including the problem-solving and essence behind the project. Casa Caldera dances on the line of dramatic documentary, and took four days of shooting while living on the remote project site.
Design Process Video
Another video to use the interview style of shooting in order to tell the story of the design is the design process video which incorporates still images in a classy way. The production for this video was three days of shooting still photography including an hour of interviewing all the designers at once in a conversational style.
Brand Video
This is a brand video produced to market a company, not specific to any one project. Shooting for this style of video includes travel to multiple projects and locations, as well as a written script to ensure the specific desired message is delivered in the most efficient way possible.
Brand Video - Interview Style
This type of brand video captures the narrative through an interview style, requiring an eloquent person to deliver the message without a script. Shooting an interview for this kind of brand video requires a full hour but edits down to a few minutes of concise dialogue in the final video.
Mobile and Social Media Focused Video
This unique video requires a secondary edit of an existing video formatted to fill the screen on a mobile device (meaning, it is cropped vertically rather than horizontally). A mobile-focused video is also useful on vertically-mounted monitors which are becoming increasingly more common. Statistically, 75% of all video plays are on mobile devices, so we always offer an add-on vertical crop option to optimize your social media marketing.
As you can see below, this video does not format well with YouTube, but is perfect for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and most other mobile applications.
